Why I Became a Physical Education Teacher:

I truly value and understand the importance of living a physically active, healthy lifestyle.  One’s level of health affects him/her physically, mentally, socially, and academically.  There is nothing that I am more passionate about than equipping young people with the confidence, skills, and knowledge necessary to lead happy, healthy, and fulfilling lives.

My Teaching Philosophy:

Through a variety of instructional methods, my goal is to help students understand the importance of physical fitness and give them the knowledge and skills they need to become competent in a variety of physical activities.  This will support my main objective, which is to motivate young individuals to be active outside of school, and most importantly, active for life.  I plan on achieving these goals by promoting a safe and fun learning environment that fosters positive social interaction and success.

Favorite Quotes:  Of all the subject areas taught in school, Physical Education is the only subject which, by the very nature of its content, has the potential to affect how a person will feel every moment of every day for the rest of his or her life.
Allen Russell

 Philosophy:
Why I became a Physical Education Teacher: (Teaching Philosophy) I truly love staying active through sports. I enjoy teaching and watching young athletes grow through a playing avenue. My teaching passions are establishing positive relationships with my students and families to help all kids build strong self images and self esteems.  The most important characteristic of my PE class is all students are given the opportunity to become a leader and are given the qualities of what a good leader possesses!
